About Golden Bear Restaurant

For more than 40 years, Golden Bear Restaurant has been Largo’s cozy corner for hearty breakfasts, homestyle lunches, and hot coffee poured with a smile. Tucked along Starkey Road, we’re a true family-owned, mom-and-pop diner where regulars know each other by name and new faces are always welcome.

Our Story

Golden Bear opened its doors in the early 1980s with a simple idea: serve good, honest food at fair prices in a place that feels like home. Over the decades we’ve seen kids grow up in our booths, families celebrate milestones over pancakes, and neighbors turn into friends across the counter.

From the teddy bears on the shelf to the bear on the menu, everything about Golden Bear is meant to feel warm, familiar, and a little bit nostalgic—like the diners you grew up with, but right here in Largo.
